Seasons One and Two
SEASON ONE
16 year-old high school sophomore and Vampire Slayer, Buffy Summers, moves from Los Angeles to Sunnydale, California and realizes that she has to continue her Slayer duties because the town is the Hellmouth-a passageway to an evil dimension. She befriends computer geek Willow, average guy Xander, snob Cordelia, her new Watcher, Rupert Giles and a vampire with a soul named Angel.
As soon as Buffy decides to continue her duties as a Slayer, we get to meet The Master, an evil vampire bent on opening Hell on Earth and Buffy's greatest nemesis, the Anointed One-an eight year-old baddy who is The Master's strongest warrior. In Buffy's sophomore year of high school…
-Xander and Willow lose their pal Jesse to the vampires.
-A witch trying to relive her glory days possesses her daughter and starts killing cheerleaders.
-Xander is seduced by his science teacher who is a praying mantis creature.
-Buffy almost loses focus on her job when she falls for a poetry geek.
-Xander and his friends are possessed by hyenas and kill Principal Flutie.
-Buffy and Angel kiss, revealing that he is a vampire.
-An evil spirit named Moloch seduces Willow over the Internet. The crew join forces with Jenny Calendar, the school's computer teacher and Giles's love interest.
-The gang fights an organ stealing demon and a living ventriloquist's dummy while putting on the school's talent show.
-Everyone begins living his or her worst nightmares.
-A social outcast becomes invisible and begins tormenting the popular kids.
-Xander finds out that Buffy is in love with Angel.
At the end of Buffy's first year at Sunnydale High, the Master kills her. However, Xander brings her back to life with good old-fashioned CPR. Buffy then sends the Master to Hell and successfully saves the Earth from evil and anarchy. After things are nicely wrapped up and the school's halls are left littered with a year's worth of papers and corpses, the heroine leaves Sunnydale for the summer to spend time with her father in LA.SEASON TWO
With her summer vacation at an end, Buffy returns from LA and prepares to face off against the Anointed One, who is trying to bring The Master back to the living world. A new evil comes to Sunnydale with the introduction of Spike and Drusilla. Although quite a motley crew, the two vamps kill the Anointed One, who Spike dubs, "the annoying one." Due to the fact that Buffy briefly died the previous spring, a new Vampire Slayer is born named Kendra. In Buffy's junior year in high school…
-Buffy returns to Sunnydale pissed and confused about her death.
-A bunch of vampires excavate The Master's bones.
-A dork from school revives his sporto brother with several dismembered body parts.
-Two very nasty vampires, Spike and Drusilla, arrive in Sunnydale.
-Spike and Drusilla make the "Annoying One" kiss daylight.
-Xander falls for an Inca mummy girl.
Buffy and Cordy are almost dinner to a snake lord at a frat party.
-Giles's old pal, Ethan Rayne, opens a costume store in Sunnydale and creates havoc with evil Halloween costumes.
-A dying friend from Buffy's LA high school transfers to Sunnydale hoping to become a vampire.
-A demon named Eyghon possesses Sunnydale's unconscious and dead.
-Buffy and new Slayer Kendra pit themselves against a gang of assassins called the Order of Taraka.
-Spike tries to kill Angel to help his lover, Dru.
-Buffy's mom, Joyce, falls for an insane killer robot named Ted.
-Two vampires named Lyle and Tector Gorch raise hell in Sunnydale. The school is invaded by zombie-manufacturing parasites.
-Buffy and Angel have sex, turning Angel back into the evil Angelus.
-Angel, teaming with Spike and Dru, sends a demon named The Judge after the gang.
-Willow's boyfriend Oz turns out to be a werewolf.
-Xander gets a witch to create a love spell to get Cordy to fall back in love with him.
-Angel kills Giles's girlfriend Jenny Calendar.
-While in the hospital, Buffy fights against Der Kindestod, a child killing demon.
-The spirits of a dead teacher and her lover student return during the Sadie Hawkins Day dance.
-The swim team transform into a bunch of sea creatures.
-The lore of Angel, Darla and Drusilla is explained.
At the end of the school year, we have come to several conclusions. First of all, Drusilla kills the new Slayer, Kendra. Willow casts a spell to return Angel's soul. Sadly, Buffy must stab Angel to close the portal to Hell and he is taken from her by the evil below. After a hectic year, Buffy jumps on a bus and cruises out of Sunnydale.

Seasons Three and Four
SEASON THREE
Willow, Xander and Oz continue the business of vampire slaying and wonder where their friend and leader Buffy has gone. Buffy takes a job as a waitress in Los Angeles where she is living in a dumpy apartment and going by her middle name, "Anne." Meanwhile, back in Sunnydale, Giles tries to figure out where Buffy is as well and Buffy's mother Joyce blames the Watcher for her daughter's disappearance. After fighting the evil Ken in LA, Buffy decides to return to Sunnydale. Unfortunately, she arrives and her duties are immediately thrown into motion. During Buffy's senior year at Sunnydale high…
-The Scooby Gang fight a demon named Ovu Mobani that came from a demon mask.
-We meet another new Slayer (brought on when Kendra was killed) named Faith. Buffy gets a new man named Scott Hope.
-The gang fights against two vamps named Kakistos and Mr. Trick.
-Angel returns. We are introduced to a killing machine Dr. Jekyll.
-A homecoming battle ensues between and the Scoobies and an international gang of vamps and demons lead by Trick.
-A cursed candy causes everyone in Sunnydale to act immature.
-Faith's Watcher, Gwendolyn Post, seeks the Glove of Myhnegon for evil doing.
-Spike kidnaps Xander and Willow in order to get Willow to cast a spell that will make Dru love Spike.
-Cordy wishes that Buffy had never moved to Sunnydale creating an alternate reality created by demon Anyanka.
-Angel is convinced by a demon that takes the form of his former victims to kill the Buffster and himself.
-Two children are killed. The mothers of Sunnydale start an organization called Mothers Opposed to the Occult.
-Buffy must fight a ferocious vampire without her powers during a Watchers Council test.
-Giles is pink-slipped from the Watchers Council.
-A crew of demons wants Xander to join their dead gang. Xander ends up having a one-nighter with Faith.
-Buffy gets her new watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.
-Faith kills the Mayor's aide.
-Faith becomes an unruly killing machine.
-Evil Willow returns when Willow attempts to get Anya's powers back.
-Faith moves in on Angel. The evil mayor wants to dust his own soul to get more powerful.
-Buffy acquires ESP and learns of a plan for a couple of students to go on school shooting rampage.
-The mayor's new evil powers increase in strength.
Angel gives Buff her walking papers. A pack of hellhounds disrupts the Sunnydale prom.
-Faith nails Angel with a poison arrow. The only cure: Slayer blood.
-Buffy allows Angel to suck her blood nearly dry.
-The Scoobies take down the serpentine mayor as Sunnydale high is destroyed.
At the season's conclusion, Faith goes into a coma. The Scooby Gang goes to prom and graduates from high school. Angel, and Cordy leave for Los Angeles.SEASON FOUR
Buffy, Willow and Oz go to college at UC Sunnydale. Buffy immediately comes face-to-face with a leader of a gang of vampire thieves named Sunday. If that wasn't bad enough, we learn that Buffy's roommate (who has a Celine Dion poster) Kathy is a demon. We are also introduced to Professor Walsh, Buffy's mean Psych teacher. -Spike blows back into town with ex-Sunnydale snob, Harmony, looking for the Gem of Amara.
-Anya returns and becomes Xander's ex-demon lover.
-A demon named Gachnar causes paranoid delusions at a haunted house.
-Buffy and some other students drink some beer at a bar that turns them into cro-mags.
-Oz falls for another werewolf named Veruca and ends up killing her. Oz then decides to leave Sunnydale and Willow.
-Buffy latest lover, Riley, is involved with a government-run organization headed by Professor Walsh called The Initiative.
-The Initiative places a chip in Spike's head that makes him unable to kill humans.
-Angel returns to see Buffy. The spirit of a Native American named Hus wants blood in Sunnydale.
-Willow casts a spell that throws the Slayerettes and Giles into bad times.
-A bunch of baddies named The Gentlemen bum rush Sunnydale and steal everyone's voices.
-Willow and Tara meet at an on campus Wicca meeting.
-Buffy tells Riley that she is The Chosen One.
-Spike starts to help out the gang.
-Ethan Rayne returns and transforms Giles into a demon.
-Buffy joins The Initiative. Professor Walsh's secret monster, Adam, kills his creator.
-Adam is on a rampage. Riley beings to get the DTs from the drugs that Walsh was injecting him with.
-Faith returns from a coma and switches bodies with Buffy.
-Tara manages to reverse Faith's body switching spell. Adam's power continues to grow.
-Faith leaves town.
-A dork named Jonathan casts a spell to create an alternate reality where he is a superstar and Buffy is his sidekick.
-Buffy and Riley have sex and bring to life the spirits of a bunch of children who believe sex is evil.
-Oz returns in an attempt to win Willow back.
-Unfortunately for him, Willow now loves Tara.
-Adam and Spike plan an attack on the Scooby Gang.
-The gang battle Adam and his army of the living dead.
-After defeating Adam and his army, as well as The Initiative, Buffy and the crew watch movies.
-Unfortunately, the original Slayer has been awakened in their dreams.
In their first year at UC Sunnydale, a lot of surprising things happened. We saw the departure of Oz and Angel and a whole new group of evil beings. As usual, the Scoobies ended the school year triumphant. However, we are left confused by a very cryptic exchange between Tara and Buffy.

Seasons Five and Six
SEASON FIVE
Things kick off in a big way during Buffy's sophomore year at UC Sunnydale when she meets the legendary Count Dracula and finds out that she has a 15 year-old sister named Dawn. To Buffy's surprise, Dawn isn't really her sister. Dawn is actually The Key whom Buffy has to protect to prevent evil forces from using her to unleash Hell in Sunnydale. -The gang takes on Harmony and her newfound pack of bloodsuckers.
-Xander is confronted by his double.
-Vampress Harmony hides out with her ex-beau Spike.
-Buffy's mother, Joyce, becomes sick. Giles takes over the Magic Box.
-Spike begins to show his love for Buffy.
-We learn that Joyce has a brain tumor. We are introduced to the inherently wicked Glory.
-Glory enlists a demon to destroy Buffy. At this point we truly learn of Glory's power and her plan.
-A meteorite creature threatens the Scooby Gang.
-Riley starts hanging out vampires because he is destroyed by Buffy's careless attitude towards him.
-Riley leaves town because Buffy won't return his love.
-A troll named Olaf manifests itself during a domestic squabble between Willow and Anya.
-The Watchers Council returns to inform the gang about Glory's true purpose and the importance of The Key.
-We learn of another crew of nasties called the Knights of Byzantium, who want to destroy The Key.
-Buffy's mysterious sister Dawn learns that she is The Key and runs away from home.
-Dawn tells Buffy that Spike has feelings for the Slayer.
-Drusilla returns for Spike.
-Buffy accepts a date with Ben, who turns out to be Glory's alter ego.
-Joyce dies of a brain tumor.
-While Dawn decides that she is going to resurrect her mother, Ben tells Glory that Dawn is The Key.
-Spike confuses the Slayerettes by carrying on with the Buffybot. Meanwhile, Glory believes that Tara is The Key.
-Tara and Willow get into a fight that leaves
Tara's defenses down when attacked by Glory and her minions.
-Tara is left brain-dead after her confrontation with Glory.
-Glory and Ben get their hands on Dawn.
-The Scoobies come together for an all out battle against Glory and her followers at a sacrificial tower.
-R.I.P. Buffy Anne Summers.
In a truly epic year, Buffy's mother Joyce passes away. Riley leaves town because he is upset that Buffy won't return his love. We begin see kinder, gentler Spike around town. As a matter of fact, Buffy learns that Spike has a crush on her when he dumps Harmony. After what anyone would consider a horrible year in Buffy's life, things come to fruition when Glory kidnaps Dawn to use her power to open up an evil dimension. This of course leads to the martyr death of Buffy as she jumps from Glory's ritual structure and closes that dimensional portal opened by Dawn's blood.SEASON SIX
Season Six is still playing, therefore I will not be posting a season summary, lest it should lead to cries of outrage from those who do not wish to see spoilers.
